
Noida International Airport begins commercial operations
Noida International Airport commenced commercial flight operations with IndiGo becoming the first airline to operate from the new NCR gateway. The inaugural flight arrived from Lucknow, followed by the first departure to Bengaluru. After its March 28, 2026, inauguration and ORAT trials, the airport will initially serve domestic routes, with international services planned later. It also offers multimodal connectivity and AISATS-developed cargo facilities with 200,000 metric tons annual capacity.
Delhi plans Spiritual Tourism Circuit linking major temples
The Delhi government is planning a spiritual tourism bus circuit connecting Akshardham with prominent temples including Birla Mandir, Lord Venkateshwara Temple, Kali Bari and Yogmaya Temple. The initiative, currently in the tendering stage, will begin with two special buses and bookings through the “Dekho Mere Delhi” platform. The circuit aims to expand Delhi’s tourism appeal beyond heritage monuments and offer visitors an organised temple tour experience.
