The roadshow brought together close to 30 sellers from Thailand, including leading hoteliers, tour operators, and top attractions, offering an immersive look at the country’s evolving tourism offerings. From unique road-watching experiences to adrenaline-pumping skydiving, the event highlighted activities beyond the traditional beach and cultural attractions that India associates with Thailand.
Siriges-a-nong Trirattanasongpol, Director, TAT New Delhi, noted the remarkable growth in arrivals from India, saying, “Last year, we welcomed 2.12 million Indian travellers to Thailand—a 30% increase over 2023—and this year we expect 2.3 million, marking over 10% growth. The roadshow is a great platform to connect our sellers with Indian partners and showcase new, exciting experiences that will appeal to both leisure and adventure travellers.”
The evening gained further significance with the address by Her Excellency Ms. Chavanart Thangsumphant, Ambassador of Thailand to India, who commended the flourishing tourism and cultural relationship between the two nations. She highlighted India’s position as one of Thailand’s most important source markets.
A highlight of the event was the felicitation of top-performing Indian travel agents, recognising their outstanding contribution to promoting Thailand in the Indian market. The ceremony underscored the collaborative spirit between TAT and the Indian travel trade, which continues to fuel the growth of visitor numbers.
With robust connectivity, diverse tourism products, and an ever-strengthening bond with India, Thailand reaffirmed its position as a favourite destination for Indian travellers in 2025.
