ICDP is a unique combination of short term skill training and long term carrier support to help underprivileged youth build their carrier. Aspiring youths can choose from food and beverages program or house keeping operations based on their eligibility and interest for starting a great career in star hotels and restaurant industry.
Meena Bhatia, Vice President and General Manager, Le Meridien New Delhi and Committee Member of WICCI (Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry Hospitality and Tourism) has reached out to her industry colleagues and friends to join her in an initiative geared towards handling the ‘skilling’ issue.
She says, “In today’s tough times skilled and educated youth are unable to find livelihood. With this in mind, we have joined hands with SAATHIYA, a Skilling and Career Development partner (A Shibulal Philanthropic Initiative), to help experience youth ‘Step-up’ through a short course and build a career in Hospitality & Restaurant. I would urge my friends and family to reach out to the deserving youth and also your house helps’ or office helps and even children who could truly benefit with a respectable job at entry-level in the Hospitality & Restaurant industry.”
