Nupur Tewari, who wanted to make this 72nd Republic Day special by doing something to inspire the youth of India, walked from the Indian embassy to Japanese Parliament while cleaning the road on Republic Day. The move was aimed at reinforcing the friendship between the two countries. The move was also aimed at strengthening the friendship between the two countries while promoting the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ to the youth in Japan as well as India. On Republic Day, she walked carrying the Indian flag, which was handed over to her by the Honorable Ambassador from India to Japan Mr. Sanjay Kumar Verma at the Indian Embassy in Tokyo. This was a unique and one its kind initiative.
