Mitsis Hotels, in partnership with One Rep Global, its strategic India representation partner, recently hosted a familiarisation trip for Indian travel advisors from Western India from October 22–26, 2026. The five-day programme offered an immersive introduction to six properties across the Greek islands of Rhodes and Crete, showcasing the group’s diverse hospitality experiences and the destinations’ potential for Indian leisure travel, destination weddings and MICE.
In Rhodes, the advisors visited Mitsis Selection Alila, Mitsis Faliraki and Mitsis Rodos Village, experiencing the group’s beachfront resorts and varied leisure offerings. The itinerary also included a guided tour of the island’s medieval Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, introducing the participants to Rhodes’ rich history, distinctive architecture and cultural attractions beyond its coastline.
The programme continued in Crete, with visits to Mitsis Selection Rinela, Mitsis Royal Mare and Mitsis Selection Laguna. Through property inspections, local sightseeing and a Greek-themed evening, the advisors experienced the island’s hospitality, culinary traditions and Mediterranean character. Together, the two destinations highlighted the range of experiences available through Mitsis Hotels, from relaxed island holidays and family stays to group celebrations and incentive travel.
A central focus of the FAM was Mitsis Hotels’ ultra-all-inclusive offering, which brings accommodation, dining and a range of leisure experiences together in one setting. This presents a practical proposition for Indian families and groups, while the resorts’ varied facilities and scenic settings offer opportunities to explore destination weddings, corporate retreats and incentive programmes. The firsthand experience was designed to help travel advisors better match individual properties to their clients’ requirements and confidently incorporate Mitsis Hotels into their Greece itineraries.
Improved air connectivity is also supporting interest in Greece from India. IndiGo operates direct, non-stop flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Athens, making the Greek capital more accessible for Indian travellers, with onward connections available to islands including Rhodes and Crete.

Hemant Mediratta, Founder & CEO, One Rep Global, said, “Greece presents an exciting opportunity for the Indian market, particularly as travellers increasingly look for destinations that combine distinctive experiences with excellent hospitality. This FAM gave our travel partners a first-hand understanding of Mitsis Hotels’ portfolio across Rhodes and Crete, and how its all-inclusive offering can work for families, celebrations and corporate groups. With direct connectivity from India to Athens, we see a strong opportunity to build awareness of these islands and develop new business for Mitsis Hotels across key travel segments.”
Stavros Mitsis, Managing Director, Mitsis Group, said, “Welcoming our Indian travel partners to Rhodes and Crete was an opportunity to share the distinctive character of our properties and the experiences that make each destination special. From our resort facilities and culinary offerings to the cultural richness of the islands, we want our partners to have the knowledge and confidence to introduce Mitsis Hotels to their clients. We look forward to growing our relationships in India and welcoming more Indian travellers to Greece.”
Piyush Jain, Founder, Jain & Jain Travels, who participated in the FAM, said, “Experiencing Rhodes and Crete firsthand gave us a better understanding of how Mitsis Hotels can cater to different Indian traveller segments. The combination of all-inclusive hospitality, varied food options, attentive service and beautiful island settings makes the portfolio worth considering for families and groups. We also see potential for destination weddings and MICE, where the resorts can offer a combination of hospitality, facilities and opportunities for guests to discover Greece beyond the celebrations themselves.”

Through this initiative, Mitsis Hotels and One Rep Global aim to deepen engagement with the Indian travel trade and build greater awareness of the group’s six showcased properties. The FAM combined firsthand product discovery with destination experiences, equipping advisors to develop tailored Greece itineraries and identify opportunities across leisure, weddings and MICE.
