The programme included a three-city roadshow across Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad from September 21–24, followed by RAKTDA’s participation at Mélange 2026 in Mumbai on September 26–27.
A delegation of tourism stakeholders from Ras Al Khaimah joined RAKTDA for the roadshow, connecting with travel agents, tour operators, MICE specialists and wedding planners through destination presentations, one-to-one meetings and networking sessions. Across the three-city roadshow and RAKTDA’s participation at Mélange 2026 in Mumbai, the delegation engaged with over 750 travel trade partners, creating a strong platform to deepen destination knowledge, strengthen industry relationships and explore new business opportunities for Ras Al Khaimah.
The discussions focused on opportunities across leisure, family travel, destination weddings and MICE, while also bringing forward the breadth of experiences Ras Al Khaimah offers across its beaches, desert, mountains, mangroves and heritage sites. With new hotels, attractions and entertainment offerings coming into the market, the engagements also gave partners a clearer view of how the destination is growing and what this means for Indian travellers and the trade.
India recorded 14% year-on-year growth in visitor arrivals to Ras Al Khaimah in 2025, with momentum continuing into 2026. Indian visitor arrivals from May 2026 to date increased by 30% year on year, while room revenue rose by 12%, underscoring the market’s continued potential for the destination. Ras Al Khaimah itself welcomed more than 670,000 visitors in the first half of 2026, its strongest first-half performance on record, as it continues towards its ambition of welcoming more than 3.5 million visitors annually by 2030.
Connectivity continues to support this growth, with direct flights from multiple touchpoints across India operated by IndiGo, Air India Express and Air Arabia, providing Indian travellers with convenient access to Ras Al Khaimah. The destination is also approximately 45 minutes from Dubai International Airport, offering additional connectivity options for Indian travellers. RAKTDA is further strengthening its airline partnerships, having recently signed an MoU with Emirates spanning joint marketing and advertising, trade and media familiarisation programmes, tailored products and packages, and trade incentives in selected markets.
Ras Al Khaimah’s hospitality offering is also expanding, with new properties and event spaces strengthening its appeal for the Indian leisure, MICE and destination wedding markets. Rotana Ras Al Khaimah – The Mangroves is opening soon and, with 258 rooms, one of the destination’s largest pillar-free ballrooms, ten meeting rooms and a dedicated alfresco events space, will be a strong addition to the destination’s MICE and wedding offering. SAIJ Mountain Lodge by Mantis, Jebel Jais’ first mountain lodge, is set to open in early 2027, offering nature-led experiences focused on wellness and outdoor adventure. Looking further ahead, Wynn Al Marjan Island, scheduled to open in September 2027, will bring 1,530 rooms, suites and villas along with a major new dining, entertainment, retail and events offering, significantly broadening Ras Al Khaimah’s appeal to international visitors.
Beyond its growing hospitality offering, Ras Al Khaimah gives Indian travellers the opportunity to experience very diverse landscapes within one destination. From beaches, mangroves and desert landscapes to heritage sites and the Hajar Mountains, the destination lends itself to a variety of itineraries. Experiences range from Jais Flight, the world’s longest zipline, and outdoor adventure to desert stays, cultural discovery like Suwaidi Pearls, the only pearl farm in the region, to wellness, dining and more, giving travel partners flexibility in building programmes for families, couples, groups and special-interest travellers.
Through the roadshow and Mélange 2026, RAKTDA continues to strengthen its trade relationships and destination knowledge that will be important as Ras Al Khaimah enters its next phase of growth in the Indian market.
