
Air India adds direct Mumbai–Toronto flights
Air India will launch a seasonal thrice-weekly non-stop service between Mumbai and Toronto from 25 October 2026 to 26 March 2027, becoming the only airline to operate direct flights on the route. The carrier has also introduced its new Boeing 787-9 aircraft on Delhi–Toronto services and will increase India-Canada capacity by 4,400 seats monthly. Premium seat capacity to Toronto will rise by 71% this winter.
Air India Express begins Bhopal operations from Delhi, Mumbai
Air India Express has commenced operations from Bhopal’s Raja Bhoj Airport with two daily flights to Delhi and one daily flight to Mumbai, strengthening connectivity from Madhya Pradesh’s capital. With the launch, the airline now operates around 55 weekly flights across Bhopal, Gwalior and Indore. The expansion follows the recent introduction of direct Indore-Abu Dhabi flights, further boosting regional connectivity and economic growth.
Lords Hotels signs ninth Rajasthan property in Pushkar
Lords Hotels & Resorts has expanded its Rajasthan portfolio with the signing of the 112-room Lords Sambhav Villas in Pushkar, scheduled to open in September 2026. Located 1.5 km from the Brahma Mandir, the hotel will feature modern rooms, dining, banquet facilities, landscaped lawns, a swimming pool and a kids’ play area. Designed for leisure, weddings, MICE and corporate events, it marks the brand’s ninth property in Rajasthan.
The Leela reports strong Q1 FY27 with 28% revenue growth
Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts reported a strong Q1 FY27, with operating revenue rising 28% to ₹352 crore and operating EBITDA increasing 41% to ₹143.4 crore. Profit after tax surged nearly 4.6 times to ₹48.8 crore. Ranked the world’s second-best hotel brand by Travel + Leisure, The Leela attributed the performance to robust domestic luxury demand, strong pricing power and its disciplined expansion strategy.
