
Air France boosts India–France connectivity with daily flights
Air France strengthened connectivity between India, France, and global destinations with daily summer flights from Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru to Paris-Charles de Gaulle. The airline now offers seamless access to over 190 destinations worldwide. In a major boost for Indian travellers, French authorities have removed the Airport Transit Visa (ATV) requirement for eligible Indian nationals transiting through French airports to non-Schengen destinations, making travel via Paris more convenient.
IHG Hotels & Resorts signs InterContinental Mumbai Goregaon
IHG Hotels & Resorts announced the signing of InterContinental Mumbai Goregaon, a 350-key luxury hotel scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2030. Developed in partnership with Zon Hotels (Mumbai) Private Limited, the property will strengthen IHG’s luxury portfolio in India. Located in Goregaon’s growing commercial hub, the hotel will feature premium accommodation, multiple dining venues, extensive event spaces, wellness facilities, and one of the city’s largest ballrooms.
IndiGo temporarily suspends six international routes
IndiGo has temporarily suspended flights to six international destinations—Langkawi, Krabi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Siem Reap—until September 30, 2026, as part of a network optimisation strategy. The move comes amid softer seasonal demand, rising operational costs, and airspace restrictions. Despite the suspension, the airline will continue operating over 1,800 weekly international flights and may restore affected services earlier if conditions improve.
Israel allocates NIS 43 million to support inbound tourism sector
The Israeli government has approved a NIS 43 million support package for inbound tourism operators, led by Tourism Minister Haim Katz. The initiative includes NIS 35 million to help retain essential tourism employees and NIS 8 million for international marketing activities aimed at reviving visitor arrivals. The assistance follows a sharp decline in tourism due to Operation Roaring Lion and is designed to preserve industry infrastructure, jobs, and global marketing efforts until tourism demand recovers.
