The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) organised a FAM trip to Gaj Retreat, Hoshiarpur from April 12–14, 2026. Located on the Punjab–Himachal border, the retreat offers wilderness experiences, nature walks, and soft adventure activities. Eight operators participated, exploring its potential for corporate offsites and experiential travel. The visit received positive feedback, highlighting its appeal for boutique inbound and nature-led itineraries.
China Eastern resumes Kolkata–Kunming flights
China Eastern Airlines has resumed direct flights between Kolkata and Kunming from April 19, 2026, strengthening India–China connectivity. Operating six times weekly, the route offers both Business and Economy Class options. The relaunch follows the airline’s Delhi–Shanghai service and underscores its commitment to expanding regional links. InterGlobe Air Transport continues as the airline’s General Sales Agent in India, supporting commercial and operational functions.
Hyatt Place debuts in Bhopal with 99 Keys
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened Hyatt Place Bhopal, a 99-key upscale hotel located near the city’s key business and retail hubs. The property offers 15,000 sq. ft of event space, including a Grand Ballroom, alongside dining options like Zing restaurant and 24/7 grab-and-go services. With an outdoor pool and fitness centre, the hotel caters to both business and leisure travellers.
Jamaica crosses one million visitors’ mark
Jamaica has welcomed over one million visitors, marking a strong tourism recovery post recent disruption. The milestone highlights the destination’s resilience and effective crisis management. Growth has been driven by diverse offerings, including cultural experiences and luxury travel. Enhanced connectivity, including Virgin Atlantic’s expanded services, and events like Jamaica Carnival 2026 are further boosting demand, especially from international markets like India.
