
Taiwan intensifies India outreach with mega Tourism delegation
Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) led its largest-ever delegation to India in February 2026, targeting India’s fast-growing outbound market. The delegation, comprising airlines, travel agencies and cultural groups, hosted a Taiwan Tourism Workshop in New Delhi and participated in OTM Mumbai. Engaging over 100 trade professionals, Taiwan highlighted its premium leisure, MICE capabilities and safe, traveller-friendly environment.
Saudia Group integrates 1,000+ aviation graduates
Saudia Group inducted over 1,000 trainees into its aviation workforce, marking one of its largest single-year integrations. Graduates completed eight specialised programmes across entities including Saudia, Saudia Academy, Saudia Technic and flyadeal. The ceremony, held under the patronage of H.E. Engr. Saleh Al-Jasser, strengthens the Kingdom’s aviation talent pipeline in alignment with Saudi Arabia’s National Aviation Strategy and supports expanding operations.
Japan announces Cherry Blossom forecast 2026
Japan has unveiled its Cherry Blossom Forecast 2026, with Sakura blooms beginning in Okinawa as early as February and moving northwards to Hokkaido by May. While March–April marks peak season across most regions, visitors can enjoy diverse floral landscapes including Hokkaido’s moss pink “Shiba Sakura” in May and lavender fields from July. Festivals across parks, castles and riversides promise immersive experiences.
Hyderabad eyes leadership in Medical Value Tourism
Telangana Tourism convened a high-level roundtable to advance plans for the Telangana State Medical Tourism Society (TGMTS), aimed at positioning Hyderabad as South Asia’s most integrated Medical Value Tourism hub. Discussions focused on governance, ethical regulation and establishing a PPP-based greenfield medical city. Backed by 50+ accredited hospitals and strong aviation connectivity, Hyderabad seeks to capitalise on India’s rapidly growing medical travel market projected to reach USD 25–28 billion by 2030.
