Held on 30th January, the immersive showcase brought together around 40 key trade partners, media representatives, and influencers for an intimate, experience-led introduction to Saudi’s evolving maritime tourism offering.
The event mirrored the experience of sailing along Saudi Red Sea coast. Guests embarked on a curated yacht voyage from the iconic Gateway of India to Mandwa, transforming a familiar seascape into a metaphor of exploration, much like the journeys that await at Saudi Red Sea. The sailing culminated in a refined fine-dining lunch at Soulinaire, with curated menus and storytelling further evoking the luxury and exclusivity that define Red Sea offerings.
Throughout the day, guests were introduced to thoughtfully designed Red Sea itineraries, highlighting seamless Saudi Red Sea journey, with heritage and contemporary coastal life converging at historic Jeddah, the Jeddah Corniche, and the Jeddah Yacht Club, a world-class waterfront hub combining marina facilities, dining, and lifestyle experiences. The experience then unfolds at Red Sea featuring ultra-luxury private island resorts. Guests can also enjoy guided kayaking, snorkelling in shallow reefs, and wellness-led leisure, alongside cycling and hiking across dramatic dune landscapes.
The event comes at a particularly opportune time, with properties across the Red Sea Global offering discounts ranging from 15% to 30%, while hotels in AlUla are extending savings of up to 48%.
At the heart of the narrative was Saudi’s expansive Red Sea coast, a destination defined by crystal-clear waters, coral reefs, untouched islands, and dramatic desert-to-sea landscapes. The region is emerging as one of the world’s most exciting yachting and coastal destinations, further amplified by destinations such as King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), a modern coastal city offering beaches.
The Mumbai yacht-sailing experience successfully delivered a tangible sense of Saudi’s luxury ethos, purposeful, nature-led and transformative, while fostering meaningful engagement with India’s travel trade and media. By translating destination storytelling into a lived experience, STA reinforced emotional connection and aspiration for the Indian market.
Connectivity further strengthens this proposition. Saudi Arabia and India are connected by over 313 weekly flights, operated by leading carriers including Saudia, Flynas, Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo, and Akasa Air. This growing air network enhances accessibility and reinforces Saudi’s appeal as a seamless, year-round destination for Indian travellers.
Through ‘Beyond the Shore: Saudi’, STA continues to invite Indian audiences to look beyond the familiar and discover a Red Sea experience that is redefining coastal luxury, yachting, and experiential travel.
