The cyclone and subsequent flooding had briefly impacted operations at several resorts. However, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts ensured that all safety protocols were strictly followed, keeping in-house guests safe throughout. The brand maintained consistent communication with travel partners and stakeholders, offering timely updates to ensure clarity and operational continuity.
Thanks to the swift and coordinated efforts of its teams, the affected properties — Cinnamon Lodge Habarana, Habarana Village by Cinnamon, Cinnamon Citadel Kandy, Kandy Myst by Cinnamon, and Trinco Blu by Cinnamon — have now resumed normal operations and are welcoming guests once again.
As of 1 December 2025, the entire Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts portfolio is fully operational, with business continuing uninterrupted across all destinations. All bookings, arrivals, and scheduled activities are proceeding as planned.
In alignment with its values, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, together with the John Keells Group and the John Keells Foundation, continues to support communities affected by the cyclone. The brand emphasised its long-standing commitment to national recovery efforts while ensuring the comfort and safety of both guests and local residents.
Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts expressed gratitude to its teams, local authorities, partners, and guests for their cooperation, resilience, and trust during the recovery period. The company will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide further updates as necessary, standing firmly with the people of Sri Lanka on the path to recovery.
