The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) held its 43rd AGM at The Claridges, New Delhi, reviewing key milestones and outlining priorities to boost inbound tourism. President Ravi Gosain highlighted progress on GST rationalisation, reopening of the China market, and digital upgrades. He reaffirmed IATO’s push for export industry status, simplified visas, and e-visa revival. IATO also launched GenAI training and a revamped member portal.
Kerala Tourism launches new experiences for festive & Winter season
Kerala Tourism unveiled a fresh bouquet of experiential offerings for the festival and winter travel season. Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas highlighted the state’s shift toward regenerative and immersive travel, backed by new destinations and curated experiences beyond its iconic backwaters and beaches. The “Network Kerala” B2B meet in New Delhi saw strong buyer-seller engagement, concluding with a cultural showcase celebrating Kerala’s vibrant heritage.
Razorpay enables UPI payments in Malaysia
In a major boost to India’s global digital payments footprint, Razorpay has enabled UPI acceptance in Malaysia through its entity Curlec, in partnership with NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL). Announced at the Global Fintech Fest 2025, the integration allows Indian travellers to pay Malaysian businesses instantly via their preferred UPI apps. With over one million Indians visiting Malaysia in 2024, this move promises seamless cash-free transactions.
Saudia debuts premium ‘SV Lifestyle’ brand at Riyadh Fashion Week
Saudia introduced its new premium lifestyle brand, SV, at Riyadh Fashion Week, marking the airline’s expansion into the fashion and lifestyle space. Inspired by its IATA code, the SV collection debuted under the theme “Live to Fly,” showcasing 40 aviation-inspired looks. Designed in collaboration with Saudi designer Mohammed Khoja, the collection blends cultural heritage with modern aesthetics.
