HAI introduces an Industry Mentoring Program
The Hotel Association of India (HAI) has introduced an industry-first, structured mentorship platform designed exclusively for the hotel sector. This initiative aims to address the widening talent gap in the Indian hotel sector and support its sustainable growth. The focus is on leadership development, career progression, organizational culture, and improving employee attraction towards the sector and their retention and engagement.
Brigade Hotel Ventures, Marriott ink multi-hotel deal
Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited (BHVL) has signed a landmark agreement with Marriott International to develop six hotels with 940 rooms across four key markets. The portfolio will span five Marriott Bonvoy brands, including The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, and Fairfield by Marriott. The deal expands Brigade’s Marriott portfolio to eight hotels with 1,388 keys, including Sheraton Grand Bangalore and Four Points by Sheraton Kochi.
ITDC announces Q1 FY 2025–26 results
India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) has announced its financial results for the first quarter of FY 2025-26, reflecting a steady performance across its business segments. In the first quarter of FY 2025-26, ITDC reported a total turnover of Rs 92.48 crore, while Profit Before Tax (PBT) stood at Rs 12.90 crore as against the turnover of Rs 84.14 crores and PBT of Rs 10.12 crores in Q1 2024-25.
DXB braces for 3.6 million Passengers in back-to-school rush
Dubai International Airport (DXB) is set to welcome over 3.6 million passengers between 13–25 August 2025, averaging 280,000 daily, with a peak of 290,000 expected on 15 August. The surge comes after a record first half of 2025, with 9.88 million international overnight visitors and 46 million passengers through DXB. Coordinating with the oneDXB community, Dubai Airports is ensuring smooth operations for families returning from holidays.
