DT Minich, President and CEO of Experience Kissimmee, has been appointed to the VISIT FLORIDA Board of Directors. With more than 30 years in the tourism industry, Minich brings expertise from serving at the helm of three Florida destination marketing organizations (DMOs). Since joining Experience Kissimmee in 2014, Minich has been instrumental in positioning the destination as a premier choice for leisure travellers, meeting planners, sporting events, and group travel. Now, as the first leader from Experience Kissimmee to serve on VISIT FLORIDA’s board, he will help shape the state’s tourism marketing strategies alongside fellow industry experts from across Florida. Minich’s board term will run through June 2026.
“Our partnership with VISIT FLORIDA is invaluable,” said DT Minich, President and CEO of Experience Kissimmee. “I am honoured to contribute to statewide tourism marketing efforts and look forward to working with peers who are equally passionate about growing Florida’s visitor economy.”
“Central Florida continues to be a cornerstone of Florida’s tourism economy,” said VISIT FLORIDA Interim President & CEO Craig Thomas. “DT Minich’s experience and leadership in the Kissimmee market will bring valuable insights to the board and further strengthen our statewide efforts.”
Minich is also active in several travel and tourism organizations. He holds the Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) designation from Destinations International and currently serves on Sojern’s North America Destinations Advisory Board. His previous board service includes the U.S. Travel Association Chairman’s Circle, the Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association, and the Dali Museum during his tenure with Visit St. Pete/Clearwater.
Prior to leading Experience Kissimmee, Minich oversaw tourism efforts for both St. Pete-Clearwater and Visit Fort Myers, where he began his career in destination marketing.
