Navi Mumbai airport to begin operations from March 2025
Union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who visited the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) site recently, has asked CIDCO to speed up the work of connecting roads to the airport. NMIA is set to become the first airport in the country with multimodal connectivity through metro, rail and road. “NMIA will be the first airport in the country to have road, rail and metro connectivity, followed by water connectivity in the future,” he said.
Airbnb signs MoU with Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board
Airbnb signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB), to build host capacity in untapped destinations, thereby redirecting travellers from the state’s traditionally popular spots to lesser-explored gems. Airbnb will undertake capacity-building activities in the select pilot locations to enhance local hospitality standards, hosting best practices, and responsible hosting.
Uber flags off EV Autos in Ayodhya; UberGo to follow soon
Uber recently flagged off its EV auto rickshaw service with Hon’ble Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in the temple town of Ayodhya under its popular category, Uber Auto. With the flag-off, Uber announced its commitment to offer convenient, affordable, and sustainable mobility solutions as the footfall to the holy city is expected to soar. Following the launch of EV Autos, Uber will also start operations of UberGo – its most affordable car product.
IndiGo celebrates ‘100 million smiles’
IndiGo soared to new heights and touched new frontiers in 2023. Not only did it become India’s first airline to fly 100 million customers, but also the first in the country to operate 2,000 daily flights. In this process, it cemented its place among the Top 10 airlines in the world and achieved many other landmarks along the way.
