Describe your journey over the last two decades in the Indian Travel Industry?
As many in the industry may know, we began our journey with a single office and a few like-minded and passionate individuals who wanted to make a difference in the way people perceived travel insurance. Today, we stand strong with over 45 branches spread all over the country and 350+ employees. I can’t thank the Indian travel fraternity enough for the unrelenting support and acceptance we have received over the past 2 decades. As a way of giving back, we continuously strive to curate innovative travel assistance and insurance business solutions that will add value to their business. It is a matter of pride for us that Asego is one of the largest revenue generators in terms of ancillary services for our clients. It has been an extremely gratifying experience for us to be a part of this prestigious industry.
What makes Asego the preferred Travel Assistance and Insurance provider in the country today?
We proudly serve our clients with over 200 customised products catering to leisure, business and student travel. Our single-minded focus on travel insurance enables us to step into the travellers’ shoes and introduce innovative and relevant products and services for them. Furthermore, we constantly analyse the various risks involved during travel along with our clients, and design exclusive products such as our global assistance services to mitigate these risks. We regularly conduct engagement and training programmes as well for our partners to aid upselling and cross-selling, which has shown positive results in improving ancillary services revenue for them. Lastly, but most importantly, the trust that our travel agent partners have in us gives us the edge.
If you had to identify the one thing that has stayed with you for the last 2 decades, what would that be?
I firmly believe that any organisation that constantly seeks fresh ideas in order to address the requirements of consumers will thrive and grow. It is this passion towards innovation and client-centricity that has brought us this far. Right from the beginning, our goal has been very clear – to be a strategic partner for our clients and not just a mere service provider.
