As the world continues to move towards “direct connectivity”, Israel and two popular touristy cities in India are the latest to join the bandwagon. As per the recent reports released by Israel Tourism, Israeli airline – Arkia is going to start direct flights form Goa and Kochi to Tel Aviv from September 28, this year. The sector, meanwhile, is already serviced by Air India with five times a week direct flights between Delhi and Tel Aviv and three times a week from Mumbai. According to Israel Tourism, Arkia will operate its 220-seater single-aisle Airbus A321 LR (long-range) will fly non-stop from Tel Aviv to Goa and Kochi. Arkia will fly once a week to Goa on Tuesdays and twice a week to Kochi on Mondays and Fridays. The schedule is set to change from October 27, 2019. This move has come in the light of increased tourists that visited Israel from India – registering a 21% growth in the tourist arrivals as compared to 2017.
