Cafe G at Holiday Inn Chandigarh Panchkula presents its Rajasthani Food Festival, a celebration of the rich flavors and vibrant culture of Rajasthan. This culinary event offers an authentic taste of one of India’s most storied culinary traditions.
From July 19th to July 29th, guests can indulge in a carefully curated menu featuring iconic dishes such as Daal Baati Churma, Laal Maans, Gatte ki Khichdi, Ghewar, and many other traditional favourites. Each dish highlights the diverse and bold flavours that define Rajasthani cuisine, encompassing the distinct culinary traditions of regions like Marwar and Mewar.
Renowned for its robust and aromatic use of spices, Rajasthani cuisine combines essential spices such as cumin, coriander, turmeric, and red chili powder with fenugreek, mustard seeds, and ajwain. This blend enhances dishes like Laal Maas, a fiery mutton curry; Daal Baati Churma, with its lentils and baked wheat balls; Gatte ki Khichdi, a flavorful rice and gram flour dumpling dish; and Ker Sangri, a dry curry made with desert beans and berries. Each spice blend is crafted to reflect the essence of Rajasthan’s culinary heritage, offering a rich dining experience.
The festival also provides a cultural experience through vibrant décor and traditional music, creating an authentic Rajasthani ambiance.
