Resorts World Cruises celebrates maiden sailing from Dubai
Resorts World Cruises had arrived in Dubai with the Resorts World One commencing her first sailing from 1 November 2024 onwards. The 1800-passenger cruise ship departs from the Port Rashid Cruise Terminal 2 in Dubai three times a week to the Gulf destinations. A special celebratory event was held on the ship with close to 600 invitees to commemorate this milestone event.
Air India introduces its A350 on Delhi – New York route
Air India has introduced A350-900 aircraft on daily, non-stop flights between Delhi and New York’s John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK). This will be followed by a 5x weekly A350 service from Delhi to Newark’s Liberty International Airport (EWR) commencing January 2, 2025. Passengers can now enjoy its all-new interiors, including private suites in Business Class and a Premium Economy cabin.
Madhya Pradesh expands aviation infrastructure with Rewa Airport
Following a record-breaking tourism season in 2023, which attracted 112.1 million visitors, the new Rewa Airport will significantly improve accessibility in the Vindhya region. The sixth operational airport in the state, Rewa Airport was virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a ceremony attended by Union and State Ministers, including CM and Deputy CM.
Meghalaya leads in recognising Responsible Tourism
The state’s commitment to responsible travel practices has earned its recognition at the Indian Responsible Tourism State Awards (IRSTA) 2024, organised by the Department of Tourism. This state-level award is an effort of the Tourism Department in promoting responsible and sustainable tourism, in line with the Meghalaya Tourism Policy of 2023.
