GRNconnect empowers Women in travel industry with 3rd Certification Program
GRNconnect continues to champion women empowerment in the travel industry by successfully completing its third certification program in collaboration with Mata Sundri College for Women. The initiative aims to equip female students with essential skills and knowledge required to excel in the rapidly evolving tourism sector. At a recent ceremony, certificates were given to the students who completed the program.
Indian nationals become the largest group to receive UK visas
Indian nationals were the largest group to receive UK visas for Visit, Study and Work categories in the year ending June 2024, said HE Lindy Cameron CB OBE, British High Commissioner to India at the inauguration of the new UK visa application facility operated by VFS Global in Delhi. Now At VFS Global UK Visa Application Centres (VACs), biometrics will be enrolled first, followed by document scanning.
Dusit International and TDF collaborate to drive excellence
Dusit International has signed an MoU with Tourism Development Fund (TDF), the national enabler of the tourism sector in Saudi Arabia, to establish a preliminary framework for developing hospitality projects that will enhance the country’s tourism infrastructure. Marriott International and SAMHI Hotels sign agreement to open three new properties in India
Marriott International and SAMHI Hotels announced a multi-deal agreement to develop three new properties comprising more than 568 rooms across India. The projects with SAMHI Hotels comprise of the W Hyderabad Hitec City, Bengaluru Whitefield, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel and The Westin Bengaluru Whitefield. These hotels are anticipated to open over 2026 – 2028.
