Hilton signs two Bengaluru airport hotels
Hilton has signed an agreement with Kalyani Group to develop Conrad Bengaluru Airport and Hilton Bengaluru Airport, adding 600 rooms. Located in KIADB Hi-Tech Defence and Aerospace Park, the hotels will offer dining, wellness, meeting facilities and over 72,000 sq. ft. of MICE space. Both properties are expected to open in 2030, around 20 minutes from Kempegowda International Airport, strengthening Hilton’s Bengaluru portfolio.
Marriott to add seven hotels in Thailand
Marriott International has signed an agreement with FICO Corporation to develop seven hotels across Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket, adding 1,262 rooms. The expansion will introduce citizenM, Four Points Flex by Sheraton and Series by Marriott to Thailand. The portfolio will include JW Marriott Bangkok Sathorn and six other properties. Once completed, Marriott and FICO’s partnership will comprise 11 hotels across eight brands in Thailand.
IndiGo adds Pune-Bhubaneswar daily service
IndiGo will launch daily, non-stop flights between Pune and Bhubaneswar from October 25, 2026, operated with Airbus A320 aircraft. The new route will strengthen connectivity between the two major education and technology hubs, supporting business, student and leisure travel. With Pune added to its network, IndiGo will serve 15 destinations from Bhubaneswar, further strengthening regional connectivity to and from Odisha.
Swiss President visits Jewar Airport, explored investment opportunities
Swiss President Guy Bernard Parmelin visited Noida International Airport, Jewar, with a 65-member delegation, strengthening India-Switzerland cooperation in aviation, IT and electronics. He was welcomed by Uttar Pradesh Minister Sunil Sharma and senior officials. The visit highlighted investment opportunities and the airport’s role in enhancing global connectivity. Developed by a subsidiary of Swiss company Zurich Airport International AG, the airport reflects growing Swiss technical and investment collaboration with Uttar Pradesh.
