A seasoned hospitality sales professional with nearly two decades of experience, Agarwal joins the hotel at a crucial stage in its preopening journey. Known for his strong commercial acumen and expertise in building revenue strategies from the ground up, he is expected to play a key role in shaping the hotel’s market presence.
Over the course of his career, Agarwal has worked with some of India’s leading luxury hospitality brands, including Marriott International, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Accor, The Leela and Oberoi Hotels & Resorts. He has held key commercial leadership roles across several renowned properties.
Prior to joining Renaissance Goa Hotel, Agarwal was associated with Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort, where he led the entire commercial function and drove strong revenue performance across corporate and group business segments. Earlier, at Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar, he played an instrumental role during the hotel’s preopening phase by building the events division from scratch, creating strategic partnerships and developing a strong business pipeline ahead of the hotel’s launch.
Recognised as a preopening specialist, Agarwal brings with him the ability to enter new markets, build high-performing teams and establish commercial systems even before a hotel opens its doors.
At Renaissance Goa Hotel, he will oversee the complete preopening sales strategy for the 133-key resort. His responsibilities will include pricing architecture, market segmentation, business development and strengthening key accounts across domestic and international feeder markets. He will also lead the formation of the sales team and create the partnerships and processes that will drive the hotel’s commercial success from day one.
Speaking on his appointment, Arpit Agarwal said, “Goa is one of India’s most loved destinations, and Renaissance is a brand built for the curious traveller. I look forward to building a commercial foundation that brings the right guests to this property and creates relationships that endure well beyond a first stay.”
The appointment reflects Renaissance Goa Hotel’s focus on creating a strong commercial foundation as part of its overall opening strategy. With Agarwal leading the sales function, the hotel is positioning itself to make a strong entry into one of India’s most competitive hospitality markets.
