IATO welcomes tourism push in Union Budget 2026–27
The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) has welcomed the Union Budget 2026–27, calling its focus on tourism timely and encouraging. IATO President Ravi Gosain praised initiatives such as the National Institute of Hospitality, large-scale guide skilling, and the proposed National Destination Digital Knowledge Grid. He appreciated the push for eco-tourism but expressed disappointment over the lack of dedicated funds for overseas tourism promotion to boost inbound travel.
