In an age defined by constant connectivity, J Wellness Circle, IHCL’s signature wellness brand, leads the company’s participation in the global observance of World Digital Detox Day, a not-for-profit movement celebrated across 78 countries to encourage conscious disconnection and more intentional living. In alignment with IHCL’s commitment to purposeful well-being, J Wellness Circle across hotels in Delhi-NCR – namely Taj Mahal, New Delhi; Taj Surajkund Resort & Spa, Delhi-NCR, Taj Damdama Lake Resort & Spa, Gurugram and Taj City Centre, Gurugram, have curated a framework of experiences, reaffirming that stepping back from digital distractions enables a more meaningful reconnection with oneself.
This year’s observance is anchored in the campaign thought #ResetYourRhythm, with a series of J Wellness Circle–led initiatives designed to create opportunities for genuine stillness and reflection. Central to these are wellness and cultural immersions such as sound healing, pottery and painting sessions, offering guests restorative, screen-free avenues for creativity and inner balance. The initiative also includes reflective elements across hotel stays, including a themed turndown on 9th and 10th December encouraging guests to consciously disconnect and embrace uninterrupted rest.

Building on this foundation, IHCL hotels across Delhi-NCR will activate complementary interventions to extend the spirit of the day. Select spaces, including spas, gardens, relaxation lounges and wellness nooks will function as digital-free zones, providing environments conducive to quiet reflection and mindful presence. Resort hotels will further encourage grounding through guided nature trails, inviting guests to engage with their surroundings in a more attentive and unhurried manner. Extending the initiative internally, hotel associates will participate by setting aside devices during meal breaks, reinforcing focused, distraction-free interactions.
Hotels such as Taj Mahal, New Delhi are also working with local schools and child welfare homes to promote mindful living among children through outdoor play, movement therapy and creative expression. Collectively, these efforts underscore IHCL’s commitment to fostering a culture of balance and presence.
